Warm Apple Pie

This recipe for a Warm Apple Pie is an interesting twist on the many other hot cocktails that use warm apple cider, including the Tuaca-based Hot Apple Pie. In this case, however, the base spirit is the unusual TY KU, which brings a nice, fruity aspect to the drink that is very nice against the apple background.

Prep Time: 2?minutes

Total Time: 2?minutes

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Pour the TY KU into an Irish coffee glass or other heat-resistant glass.
  2. Fill the glass with warm apple cider.
  3. Top with whipped cream and grate a touch of cinnamon on the top, placing the remaining cinnamon stick in the glass.

Apple Cider Martini

Here is another apple-flavored 'martini' and it's an interesting one. This Apple Cider Martini is designed more for those with drier tastes than many of the other options.

The drink uses a Ultimat Vodka, which is ultra smooth and clean, and makes a nice base for the apple and ginger combination. For the cider, I recommend using the freshest cider available and when it comes to the ginger liqueur, Domaine de Canton is a nice option. The Velvet Falernum is the finishing touch that brings everything together. This is a versatile cocktail and can fit any occasion. It may even become your new favorite apple tini.

Prep Time: 3?minutes

Total Time: 3?minutes

Yield: 1 Cocktail

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker.
  2. Shake well and pour into a cocktail glass.

Belvedere Toffee Apple

There are many takes on the candy apple-flavored martini and many of them are quite delicious. This Toffee Apple recipe from Belvedere Vodka is no exception. Many other recipes use a sweet liqueur such as butterscotch schnapps to obtain the 'caramel' feel, but this one is a different take, using instead a homemade toffee syrup. This twist adds a fresher feel, a flavor that is truer to the inspiration of dipped apples and is quite lovely. In keeping with this fresh aspect, the Toffee Apple is best with as freshly pressed apple juice as you can get your hands on and makes this ideal tipple for apple season.

Prep Time: 3?minutes

Total Time: 3?minutes

Yield: 1 Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Belvedere Citrus Vodka
  • 3 oz pressed apple juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 home made toffee syrup*
  • apple slice for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
  2. Garnish with an apple slice.

*Home made toffee syrup

Place a handful of toffee in the bottom of a saucepan and add half a cup of warm water. Apply a gentle heat and stir until the toffee dissolved. Allow to cool.

Haunting Hooch: Belvedere Toffee Apple

Candy apple 'martinis' are nothing new, in fact they're everywhere. Every once in awhile, however, you come across one that is unique and gives you a great idea for use in other drinks. Just such a cocktail, called the Toffee Apple, came to my attention this week from Belvedere Vodka and I think you'll really like this take on the concept.

The drink is quite simple: citrus vodka, apple and lemon juices, and toffee syrup. It is that last ingredient that caught my attention. Most of the cocktails that follow this flavor profile will use butterscotch schnapps, which is an excellent tool for the purpose, but I don't think it can hold up against a syrup made with toffee. There's something more natural about it and when this rather easy sweetener is added to fresh apple juice and a smooth vodka the combination seems like a winner and a great candidate for Halloween or any autumnal celebration.

Hot Gold Apple Cider

Everyone has a recipe for Hot Apple Cider, the Hot Gold Apple Cider is my version. I like this one because it takes the average spiked version of the drink and adds a little sparkle along with cinnamon by adding Goldschlager and its tiny gold flakes. I often leave this warming on the stove, in a crockpot or insulated punch bowl for hours. It fills the house with a lovely aroma and allows guests to ladle drinks as they please. Because of the gold touch I also don't strain the spices like many recipes call for, this also allows the spices and orange slices do their infusion magic longer.

Non-Alcoholic Hot Spiced Cider

Prep Time: 20?minutes

Cook Time: 1?hour

Total Time: 1?hour, 20?minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 1/2 750ml bottle dark rum
  • 1/2 750ml bottle Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced

Preparation:

  1. Combine ingredients in a large saucepan, stir and cover.
  2. Heat slowly to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Lower heat and allow to simmer for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Transfer to insulated punch bowl and serve in mugs.

Makes about 15 servings

This can also be made and served in a slow cooker using the technique in this recipe for Crockpot Hot Apple Cider.
