Aman Snow Leopard

The Aman Snow Leopard was created by John Gakuru and it is one fancy cocktail. Think about all the layers of this drink: the sweetness of Sagatiba cachaca and amaretto, topped with luscious cream and a few drops of rosewater to offset the heavy sweet, then some creative decoration with a little espresso. It takes some time to create and maybe a little practice to get just right, but it is worth every minute and all the attention you can give it. Simply put, it is one of the best cocktails I've had yet which features the Brazilian rum.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Sagatiba Pura Cachaca
  • 1/4 oz amaretto liqueur
  • 1/2 oz heavy cream
  • 3 drops of rose water essence
  • 1 shot of espresso

Preparation:

  1. Stir the Sagatiba and amaretto in a mixing glass filled with cubed ice.
  2. Strain into a martini glass.
  3. Layer the cream on top with the drops of rose water.
  4. Draw the "S" with drops of espresso sitting on top of the cream.
