There are countless Gingerbread Martini recipes and many of those require gingerbread syrup or a complicated array of spices to recreate the flavor. I've taken an easier route with the Gingerbread Man-tini because of the availability of Hiram Walker's Gingerbread liqueur. It's one of the company's seasonal flavors so it is not the most readily available liqueur, but if you can find it I suggest trying it out. Rubbing the lime wedge on the rim really sets this warm and cozy Martini off and I highly recommend not skipping that step.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz citrus vodka
- 1 1/2 oz Hiram Walker Gingerbread liqueur
- 1/2 oz dry vermouth
- 1/4 oz simple syrup
- lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Rub the lime wedge on the rim of a frozen cocktail glass and leave the lime there for a garnish.
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into the glass.
