Hot Gold Apple Cider

Everyone has a recipe for Hot Apple Cider, the Hot Gold Apple Cider is my version. I like this one because it takes the average spiked version of the drink and adds a little sparkle along with cinnamon by adding Goldschlager and its tiny gold flakes. I often leave this warming on the stove, in a crockpot or insulated punch bowl for hours. It fills the house with a lovely aroma and allows guests to ladle drinks as they please. Because of the gold touch I also don't strain the spices like many recipes call for, this also allows the spices and orange slices do their infusion magic longer.
