Coffee Roasts

An image of coffee beans being ground for cold-brewed coffee.
Just as different coffee varietals and coffee grind levels can influence the flavor of your coffee, coffee roasts can make a huge difference in the flavor of your brew. For example, whereas a "Cinnamon Roast" coffee (one of the lightest coffee roasts) will likely be "bready" and a little sour, a "Spanish Roast" coffee (the darkest coffee roast, even darker than "Espresso Roast" coffee) will likely have a strong charcoal note, and a "Medium Roast" coffee is a great "basic" roast that's excellent for comparing different types of coffee beans.
