Mint is one of those incredibly versatile foods that is just as perfect for the stultifying heat of summer as it is for the icy cold of winter. No matter when you consume it, mint is a refreshing, comforting ingredient in food and drink alike. Here are a few of my favorite mint recipes for wintertime:
- The soothing aroma and flavor of basic Mint Tea can't be beat in winter. It's very simple, but undeniably delicious. For a little more complexity, try Moroccan Mint Tea or Moroccan Mint Tea with Orange Blossom.
- For the younger members of your family, this kid-friendly White Peppermint Hot Chocolate recipe is more likely to hit the spot. It includes peppermint extract AND crushed peppermint candies.
- Chocolate Mint Tea is an incredibly easy recipe that combines mint teabags and hot chocolate mix.
- This Mint Chocolate Coffee Martini is served chilled, yet it's still warming on cold winter nights. Serve it at a small holiday party or sip it with friends by the fireplace.
