Around the holidays, many people tend to cook with more nuts. From roasted chestnuts to candied pecans to peanut butter cookies, there are lots of ways to enjoy the flavor of nuts in winter. Here are a few of my favorite nutty coffee drinks, tea drinks, hot chocolates and foods for pairing with coffee / tea:
- Pecans: Pecan-Cinnamon Scones and Pumpkin-Pecan Scones (pictured above)
- Hazelnut liqueur: Chocolate-Hazelnut Espresso Martini (pictured above), Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee Cocktail, Hot Chocolate for Adults and Black Gold Coffee Cocktail
- Hazelnut honey: Hazelnut Honey Yerba Mate Latte
- Hazelnut syrup: White Christmas Espresso Drink
- Walnuts: Rose-Walnut Scones, Chopped Walnut Coffee Cake and Apple-Walnut Coffee Cake
- Almonds: Almond Scones, Almond Popovers, Chocolate-Almond Biscotti, Lemon-Almond Biscotti and Almond Milk
- Almond liqueur: Almond Coffee Cream
- Almond extract: Almond Tea
- Pine nuts: Pine Nut Biscotti
- Peanut butter: Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
