Spring Fever Cocktails

The transition from winter to spring is one of the most anticipated times of year (especially for those of us in the north). The snow has melted, the sun in shining, the ground comes to life with green and it is once again enjoyable to be outside longer than 10 minutes at a time. As you finish up your spring cleaning or income taxes and plan your gardens and summer vacations, take some time to sit down on the patio with a refreshing fruit drink that wakens your taste buds from the winter blues.

Spring Fever

The ultimate fruit drink without the alcohol. A Spring Fever mocktail is perfect anytime of the day and is even better with fresh fruit juices. You will really be in the mood for the spring season with this apple, lemon and blood orange juice mocktail that is accented with homemade mango syrup.

April Rain

A touch of lime for your Vodka Martini? An April Rain is both refreshing and uplifting, the perfect Saturday afternoon cocktail after a morning of spring cleaning.

Income Tax Cocktail

For accountants and those of us that do our own taxes the Income Tax Cocktail is a celebration to the end of another tax season. On April 15th raise your glass and toast to the fact that you conquered yet another 1040 long form (not to mention Schedule this and Form number that, this deduction and that credit, and an another hour of your life wasted on-hold with the IRS) and still managed to get to the post office before midnight. You deserve a drink after all that!

Long Island Iced Tea

An absolute favorite! Spring and summer would not be the same without a few really good Long Islands. So while you're waiting all afternoon for your sun tea to brew, mix up a really good Long Island Iced Tea and enjoy the spring breeze.

Easter Egg Cocktail

This light blue cocktail is made of blue curacao and white creme de cacao topped with half-and-half. While the kids are off hunting eggs in the yard, grab an Easter Egg of your own.

April Shower

The month of April is often filled with rainy days. This brandy cocktail is great for that transition between the dull days of winter and flower-filled days of May. The brandy will remind you of winter and the the Chartreuse and orange juices will get you ready for the dog days of summer.

Green Grape Glacier

Green grapes are in season, making this the perfect time to enjoy a Green Grape Glacier at a springtime brunch. Dust off the patio furniture, make a fresh fruit salad and enjoy the spring sun with this frozen grape mocktail.

Easter Bunny

Yummy Bunny! Easter would not be the same without chocolate and the Easter Bunny cocktail will take care of your springtime sweet tooth. The chocolate in this vodka cocktail is accented by the sweet touch of cherry brandy. Absolutely delightful.

Yellow Bird

Prepare yourself for the tropical drinks of summer with this rum cocktail. The Yellow Bird is a spin off of the Screwdriver that uses both dark and light rum along with the spicy liqueur Galliano to mix with orange juice instead of plain old vodka.

English Rose

Enjoy this fruity variation of the Martini as your roses come into bloom. Apricot brandy is perfect for spring cocktails and in the English Rose it is accented with sweet lemon and pomegranate flavors.

Kiwi Mango Mint

Since things are beginning to freshen up it's time to freshen up your drinks. The Kiwi Mango Mint will fit that bill perfectly, what with all its fruit flavors and fresh herbs. If you can, use fresh or organic mango juice or nectar and the most fragrant mint leaves (which you've hopefully been growing in the kitchen all winter anyway).
